Temperatures are rising…make sure you are watering enough!
We’ve talked about it before…all of your hard work in your lawn will go to waste if you don’t get your watering right!
Your lawn needs 1.5”-2” of water every week, and waterings need to be split into .5” per watering, 3-4 times per week.
Watering every single day for short periods does little good for your lawn, as does watering too much all at once!
Figuring out the exact inches per hour of your sprinkler system can be tricky, but a good starting point would be 15-20 minutes per zone for spray heads and 35-40 minutes per zone for rotors. It won’t be exact, but those times will likely get you close to .5” per watering.
Remember…mowing, feeding and watering! All are equally important to get the results you want from your lawn!
