The next couple of weeks are going to be all about the fall pre emergent!
There is something that needs to be very clear about this application and about weed control in general…it has NOTHING to do with what is going on in your lawn right now. Forget about what your lawn looks like right now…it’s time to move on.
Whatever condition your lawn is in right now (in terms of weeds), is because of what was or was not done months ago.
Is your lawn overrun with weeds? That is likely due to a failure to put a pre emergent down at the right time months and months ago.
Likewise, if your lawn is nice and weed free, that is a result of what WAS done months ago…and has very little to do with any post emergent you have applied recently.
So as we kick off pre emergent season you have to remember…the fall pre emergent has EVERYTHING to do with that your lawn is going to look like months and months from now.
It’s time to look ahead, it’s time to think long term, it’s time to lay the foundation for what your lawn will look like next year!
