It has already been very wet spring in North Texas.
The mosquito season is just getting started, and this rain provided the perfect opportunity to get out and check your property for any potential mosquito breeding grounds BEFORE they become an issue.
Remember, mosquitos only need inches of water to lay their eggs, so don't take even the smallest amounts of water for granted.
Gutters, trash cans, tires, uncovered valve boxes, potted plants, playgrounds, birdbaths, fire pits, recycle bins etc.....all are potential breeding grounds.
On top of that, female mosquitos typically lay 100-300 eggs at a time. Once those eggs are laid, it’s only a matter of 12-14 days before you have a new generation of mosquitos that are ready to start the process all over again!
Bottom line…killing off the adult mosquitos will not amount to much if you don’t take care of the breeding grounds. You have to do both to have a successful mosquito control program.
Stay one step ahead and check your property now!
