Why Deeper Waterings Beat Daily Watering Every Single Time
If you have been watering your lawn every day and not seeing the results you expect, the problem might not be how much water you are using. It might be how you are using it. We caught up with Joey out in the field doing quarterly sprinkler run-throughs and Luke is going to break down the right way to water your lawn.
Deeper Waterings Are More Effective
The most common watering mistake homeowners in Midlothian, Prosper, and Mansfield make is watering too frequently for too short a time. Running your sprinklers for just a few minutes every day might feel like you are staying on top of it, but shallow watering never fully reaches the root system. If the water is not getting all the way down to the roots, your grass is not getting what it actually needs.
Deeper, less frequent waterings are far more effective. When water penetrates down to the root level it encourages stronger, deeper root growth and gives your turf the kind of moisture it needs to stay healthy through the heat of a North Texas summer.
The Right Watering Schedule
Two to three times per week for a longer duration is the sweet spot for most lawns. That schedule gives your soil enough time to absorb the water properly between sessions while still keeping your turf consistently hydrated. It is a much better approach than daily short bursts that barely scratch the surface.
How Joey Sets Sprinkler Systems for Clients
As part of our quarterly sprinkler package, Joey programs each client's sprinkler system to run at the right time for the right amount of time. Getting the timer set correctly takes the guesswork out of watering entirely so your lawn is always getting what it needs without any extra effort on your end.
