How to Kill Grub Worms Before They Destroy Your Lawn

When grub worms are present, it's too late for a preventative...instead, contact killers need to be applied.

Grubs are here!

In the last week we have seen multiple lawns with active grub damage, so its time to really keep an eye out. The key to controlling grubs is to catch them as early as possible. Catching them early does not only minimize damage, but it also allows your products to work better. The younger the grubs, the easier they are to kill, and the better your products will work.

Back in the spring I talked a lot about preventing grubs with imidacloprid...it is too late to apply that product, it WILL NOT WORK!

If you have grubs right now, you will need an adult contact killer. The product we use is Dylox which you can order online. Most garden centers will also have Dylox or something similar...just make sure it is a contact killer.

Again, keep a close eye out for any signs of damage...it is crucial to catch them early on!
